ABOUT

Simon Hegner, owner of Rocky Acres Orchard, grew up in Switzerland where he trained and worked as an agriculture mechanic. He came to Saskatchewan in 2014 for a work exchange on a farm near Leross, SK, and decided to stick around! He continues to work full time as a farm mechanic and field hand, while also keeping the orchard running.

Serena, who works as a full time employee at Rocky Acres Orchard, grew up in rural Manitoba. She has worked in the horse racing, horticultural, and agriculture industries, and has a Diploma in Crop Management from the University of Manitoba. Her knowledge in agronomy and many years of experience gardening and canning make her a good fit for the orchard!
